Creative Intelligence
I was building things here before most businesses took the internet seriously, back when there wasn’t much to work with beyond a good eye and the will to figure it out. I’m an artist first, but I’ve spent two decades doing serious commercial work, and that combination is rarer than people think. It’s the same eye I bring to your brand, your website, whatever you’re trying to build next.
Tattoo studio, photo studio, sign company. Multi-disciplinary from day one.
Full-time freelance graphic design. Learned to run a creative business, not just do creative work.
From scratch. Became the marketing engine for the whole business.
ImmatureStudio.com — original Caribbean digital content before anyone was doing it.
TriniSpace v1 — conceived in 2007, built without a team, roadmap or investors.
Pitched cold. Got the green light in one conversation.
Comics, canvases, client work, platforms. Same hand, same instinct, wherever it’s needed.
The throughline
On the surface my career looks like a handful of different lives, tattoo studio artist, graphic designer, web developer, film director, platform founder, television producer, and people sometimes ask how any of that fits together.
It fits because it never really changed shape. Every one of those started the same way, I saw something that wasn’t there yet and I built it anyway, without waiting for permission or the right qualifications.
I’m an artist by training and instinct, and somewhere along the way that same instinct turned into serious commercial craft, the kind that doesn’t come from a course. What I bring to a project isn’t just the ability to execute, it’s an eye that’s been sharpened by every one of those mediums, the kind that can look at where you are, understand where you’re trying to go, and build whatever bridge gets you there, a brand, a website, or something that doesn’t have a name yet.
I’ve also sat on the other side of the table. I’ve launched things that worked and things that didn’t. I put money I didn’t really have into a television show I believed in. I built a social network before the market was ready for it, and had the clarity to shut it down when it stopped working. That kind of judgement doesn’t come from a course either. It comes from twenty years of doing this in a market that doesn’t forgive you for being unprepared,
Anyone can generate a hundred options. Only one thing tells you which is right.
Anyone can generate a hundred options in a minute. Only two decades of doing this for real tells you which one is actually right, for this brand, this market, this exact problem. That’s not something you can prompt for.
I still draw before I decide anything. Every logo, every layout, every frame starts as a mark on paper, because the eye that catches a bad idea before it becomes an expensive one is trained by hand, not by software.
Illustration, branding, film, web, comics. I’ve worked across enough mediums that nothing looks unfamiliar, which means I bring the right tool to your problem instead of forcing your problem to fit the one tool I know.
What I Do
No packages, no pricing ladders. Craft applied wherever it’s needed.
Sketch, ink, colour. Original characters and stories, ImmatureComics and beyond.
Logos, systems, the visual language a business speaks in everywhere it shows up.
Built to do something, not just exist. Clean, fast, and yours to run once it’s handed over.
Photography, video, and the sets and shoots behind them, shaped by the same eye as everything else.
Who This is For
If you’re looking for the cheapest option, I’m probably not it, and that’s fine. There’s no shortage of people who’ll race you to the bottom.
If you’re looking for someone who’ll actually make something worth remembering, something with a hand in it and a reason behind every choice, we should talk.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, because craft doesn’t scale the way templates do, and I’d rather do a handful of things brilliantly than a hundred things forgettably.
“I’ve been building digital things in Trinidad since before most businesses here took the internet seriously. I’m not theorising about your market. I’ve been operating in it for twenty years, with a pencil in my hand the whole time.”
